14-Day Treatment Guarantee Terms
Effective date September 14, 2026 Policy version 1.0
The Pink Combs stands behind completed lice-removal treatment with a 14-day corrective-service guarantee. If a covered concern is reported during the guarantee period, The Pink Combs will provide corrective service without an additional treatment charge until the covered concern is resolved. Travel remains payable for each visit.
1 Who Is Covered
The guarantee applies individually to each person who received and completed an eligible paid lice-removal treatment from The Pink Combs. A head check without treatment does not create guarantee coverage.
Coverage does not automatically extend to untreated household members, visitors, classmates, contacts, or other people.
2 Guarantee Period
Coverage begins when the eligible treatment is completed and continues for 14 consecutive calendar days. The client must report the concern to The Pink Combs within that 14-day period. A covered concern reported on time remains eligible for the corrective service reasonably required to resolve that concern, even if the corrective appointment occurs after day 14 because of scheduling.
3 What The Guarantee Provides
- A review of the reported concern and the relevant treatment, aftercare, household, and follow-up information.
- A covered corrective appointment when The Pink Combs determines that corrective service is appropriate.
- No additional charge for the corrective lice-removal service provided to the covered person during the covered corrective visit.
- Additional covered corrective service until the timely reported covered concern is resolved, subject to these terms.
The guarantee provides corrective service as the remedy. It does not automatically provide a refund, cash payment, reimbursement for outside services or products, compensation for missed work or school, or payment of incidental expenses.
4 Client Responsibilities
To preserve coverage, the client or responsible adult must:
- Follow the written and verbal aftercare instructions provided by The Pink Combs.
- Complete any required follow-up, monitoring, or documentation within the stated timeframe.
- Ensure that household members and close contacts identified for checking or treatment are appropriately addressed.
- Avoid sharing combs, brushes, hair accessories, hats, bedding, or other items when instructed during the follow-up period.
- Promptly report any suspected concern and provide accurate information about new exposure, untreated people, missed follow-up, and products or services used after treatment.
- Pay the applicable travel charge for each corrective visit. Georgia travel begins at $35 and is capped at $100 per appointment and address; the actual charge depends on technician location, distance, and routing and is disclosed before the corrective appointment is confirmed.
5 What Is Not Covered
- A new exposure or re-exposure after the original treatment, including exposure through school, childcare, work, activities, travel, visitors, or close contacts.
- Continued exposure from an untreated, incompletely treated, or undisclosed household member or close contact.
- Failure to follow required aftercare instructions, complete a required follow-up, provide requested information, or make the covered person reasonably available for corrective service.
- A person who received only a head check or who did not complete the recommended treatment.
- Service performed by another provider, use of conflicting products or methods after treatment, or alteration of the condition before The Pink Combs can evaluate it, when that action prevents a fair assessment or corrective service.
- Conditions other than head lice, including dandruff, product buildup, skin conditions, or other material that may resemble lice or nits.
- Travel charges, after-hours fees, additional-technician charges, detangling, retail products, and other separately disclosed fees unless The Pink Combs expressly waives them in writing.
- Claims made after the 14-day reporting period.
6 Re Exposure and New Infestation
Head lice can be acquired again after a completed treatment. A later finding is not automatically evidence that the prior service failed. The Pink Combs may consider the original treatment record, technician clearance, aftercare completion, household treatment status, follow-up findings, timing, and reported contact with possible sources of exposure. When the evidence supports a new exposure or infestation, the visit is treated as a new service and charged at the applicable rate, subject to any separate Pink Shield benefit.
7 Requesting Corrective Service
Contact The Pink Combs as soon as a concern is discovered and before using another lice treatment or removal service when reasonably possible. Provide the covered person’s name, original treatment date, what was observed, when it was observed, whether aftercare and follow-up were completed, and whether any new exposure may have occurred. Submitting a request does not itself confirm guarantee coverage or an appointment. A Pink Combs technician must review the information and confirm the appointment, travel charge, and arrival window.
8 Service Boundaries
The guarantee covers the lice-removal service described here. It is not medical insurance, a medical warranty, or a promise that a school, childcare provider, employer, or program will permit immediate return. The Pink Combs may provide a service-clearance letter, but the family remains responsible for following the applicable return policy.
