Information collected automatically

When you use our website, we and our service providers may collect device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, form and conversion events, cookie identifiers, and similar usage information. We may use cookies, pixels, and comparable technologies for security, site operation, analytics, conversion measurement, and advertising when enabled.

2 How We Use Information

  • Receive and respond to appointment requests and other inquiries.
  • Determine technician availability, travel routing, service needs, and the itemized cost breakdown required before an appointment is confirmed.
  • Provide head checks, lice-removal services, aftercare, corrective service, and Pink Shield benefits.
  • Process payments, invoices, deposits, refunds, discounts, installment schedules, and membership records.
  • Maintain customer, household, appointment, consent, quality, incident, and audit records.
  • Send transactional communications about requests, appointments, payments, service, aftercare, account security, or Pink Shield administration.
  • Send optional marketing communications only when permitted by your choices and applicable law.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, improve, and measure our website, CRM, communications, and business processes.
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, duplicate submissions, security incidents, or unlawful activity.
  • Comply with legal, tax, accounting, insurance, and recordkeeping obligations and protect the rights, safety, and property of clients, staff, and the business.

3 How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to:

  • Authorized Pink Combs personnel and technicians who need the information to perform their duties.
  • Service providers that support website hosting, forms, CRM operations, communications, scheduling, analytics, security, document storage, payment processing, and professional services.
  • Stripe and other payment providers that process card payments, refunds, invoices, and payment verification under their own privacy terms.
  • Government agencies, courts, regulators, insurers, professional advisers, or other parties when disclosure is required or reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce agreements, respond to claims, or protect rights and safety.
  • A successor or potential successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal protections.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not disclose text-message opt-in consent to third parties for their own marketing. Limited online identifiers may be processed by analytics or advertising providers as described above.

4 Communications Choices

Transactional messages are used to administer requests, appointments, payments, service, safety, aftercare, and memberships. Marketing email and marketing text messages are optional and are not a condition of purchasing services. You may unsubscribe from marketing email through the link in the message. If text messaging is enabled, you may reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Opting out of marketing does not stop communications necessary to complete or administer a transaction or service you requested.

5 Children and Household Information

Our website and online forms are intended for adults. A parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult must submit information for a minor and confirm that they have authority to do so. Children under 13 should not submit information directly through the website. If we learn that a child submitted personal information directly without appropriate adult involvement, contact us so we can review and delete it when required.

6 Health Related and Service Information

Information about lice observations, screening, treatment, or aftercare may be sensitive. The Pink Combs is a non-clinical lice-removal service and is not a healthcare provider. Information submitted to us is not necessarily protected by the federal HIPAA Privacy Rule. We nevertheless limit access to service-related information and use it only for legitimate business, service, safety, and legal purposes.

7 Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, administer memberships and guarantees, document consent and transactions, resolve disputes, maintain security and audit records, and satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and insurance obligations. Retention periods vary by record type. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to backup cycles and legal preservation requirements.

8 Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Access is limited according to business need. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a security incident requires notice under applicable law, we will provide notice as required.

9 Your Choices and Requests

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information that we maintain about you, or update your communication choices. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required for transactions, safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution. To submit a request, use the contact information below.

10 Third Party Sites and Services

Our website may link to services operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of websites or services we do not control.

11 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices, technology, or legal obligations change. The revised policy will display a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated when required by law. The version accepted for a specific transaction remains part of that transaction record.
